Just received an email from my old man who has just finished a bike ride from Lhasa, Tibet to Kathmandu, Nepal with the accomanying message;
Shot taken from road about 9kms from Everest Base camp. We’re just around the corner from the Monastery which is 8km from Base camp. Elevation at this point is about 17,500 feet and temperature approx 3 degrees. Could’ve done with a hot, steaming cup of Supreme at this point!!
He made the distance with a night at Everest Base Camp. Not bad for a bloke in his late 60's!
